Title:

Sharing game state across users with Firebase

Abstract:

In his talk earlier in the conference Craig built a small maze game, to show us how to isolate game state and game logic from the user interface of our game. Now Frank will take that game add some multiplayer features to it with Firebase.

First we'll add a counter that shows how many people are currently playing the game. Then we'll store the position of the avatar in the database too, so that we all have to work together to guide them to the exit. And then finally we'll play a couple of rounds, where we all yell at our phones and laptop to make it to the exit. LEFT - LEFT - LEFT - NO NO NO - UP - UP….
